On May 28, 2018, CG Foundation will host its fourth fundraising event, Playing Through for Epilepsy. The first event in 2015 raised almost $30,000. The 2016 and 2017 event raised an additional $126,000. Since 2015, CG Foundation has donated a significant portion to epilepsy research. CG Foundation has provided $11,700 to the Carteret County school system to purchase special therapeutic playground equipment for children at Carteret Pre-School Center. Funds have been distributed through a partnership with the North Carolina Epilepsy Foundation, which has helped the foundation identify families in Eastern North Carolina who need the most financial assistance to pay for epilepsy medication. This has proven to be a tremendous partnership for CG Foundation and Coastal Carolina communities.
The next Playing Through for Epilepsy fundraising day will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018. Events throughout the day include a golf tournament, helicopter ball drop and dinner/dance featuring the Band of Oz. Tickets are available through Eventbrite and registration forms with additional information are available on this website. If you have specific questions about the event or registered a golf team, contact Stephen Chalk, founder of CG Foundation, at 252-726-3167 or at Stephen@chalkandgibbs.com.
